Huawei Ascend G312 QWERTY phone Review

Huawei is going to roll out their latest smart phone termed as Huawei Ascend G312 QWERTY. As the name indicates this phone has a full QWERTY keypad beneath its sliding display. This phone is speculated to come under the T-Mobile network in the MyTouch series and there it will be termed as MyTouch Buddy.

The phone has a very sleek and compact design and very good ergonomics. The overall black colour scheme is accentuated by silver grey highlights. There are four touch sensitive capacitive buttons just below the large screen. The video calling camera is placed just above the display toward one corner.

The rear side of the phone houses the main camera and the integrated speakers. The display slides out to the sides to reveal the QWERTY keypad beneath it. The keys have a nice oval shape to it and are sufficiently well spaced enough. This would ensure that there will be less typo and will make typing large emails or messages relatively very easy.

The display has a size of 4 inches and it packs in WVGA resolution that is a display resolution of about 800x 480 pixels. The chipset in the device will be Qualcomm MSM 8255T that is clocked at 1.4 GHz. There are dual cameras in the device and the main camera has a resolution of 5 mega pixels. This camera can record videos too with 720p resolution.

The secondary video calling camera is provided with a resolution of 0.3 mega pixels. The internal memory capacity of the phone is about 4 GB and the phone is provided with 1 GB of RAM too. There is an expandable memory card slot that is compatible with micro SD memory cards. The phone which was kept in display had Android version 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system but it is speculated that the final version will run on Android ICS operating system right out of the box.

Huawei Ascend G312 QWERTY phones exact price tag or releasing date is not known as for now.
