Huawei Ascend Mate 2 With 6.1 Inch Full HD Display To Rock The Smartphone Market Soon
Leading Chinese smartphone vendors eyeing double-digit growth as sales figure shows sign of improvement. Huawei who is aiming to sell 20 million smartphone in Q4 this year plans to release a 6.1-inch Full HD 1080p phone to take on the key competitive rivals.
In the beginning of 2013, Huawei launched the Ascend Mate, a massive mid-range phablet. And now we have been hearing new stories around the all new Ascend Mate 2. The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 would replace the existing Ascend Mate, as sources revealed.
According to the Huawei News blog site, the Chinese handset manufacturer is indeed coming up with a successor to the original Ascend Mate.
The report also sheds light on the internal hardware of the device. The Ascend Mate 2 would have a 6.1-inch 1080p FHD display. The phablet would be stuffed with a 1.6GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor with Mali-450 graphics coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The phone might run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform with a layer of Emotion UI 2.0 on the top.

The chipset on board isn't phenomenal, though, the device specs are neat looking. Huawei is rumored to announce the Ascend Mate 2 later this year or early next year at the CES 2014. Nothing much is known about the pricing and actual availability date.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Huawei could announce a successor to Ascend P6 in the coming days. Huawei's president Xu Xin Quan reportedly said that they were preparing to come up with a new version of the smartphone called Ascend P6S featuring a new Octa-Core chipset.
Moreover, Huawei is not keen to use MediaTek's latest true Octa-Core SoC, instead reportedly use custom made chipset.

The Ascend P6S will pack a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB ROM, 8MP rear-facing camera and Wi-Fi connection. Moreover, the processor will be based on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture with a 1.8GHz dual-core Cortex-A15 and a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor.
Huawei is still trying to make its place in the coveted Indian handset market. The makers behind Ascend Mate recently launched the Ascend P6 in India under Rs. 30,000.
