Huawei Ascend P6S, the overall good looking and high specs featuring handset has already gone official. Moreover, there are minor tweaks that the new smartphone has come across. Similar to the original Ascend P6, the upgraded variant comes with a same 4.7 inch LCD display with a HD resolution of 720p. The best part of both the new and the old variants are that the display works even with the gloves on.

As said earlier the device uses a bumped up chipset which comes with 4 cores (quad-core) clocked at 1.6GHz processor as opposed to the Ascend P6's 1.5GHz. However, it's not clear whether the company is using it's own chipset or getting it from other chipset makers. However, one thing is sure, the device is not compatible with the LTE support.
Also the company has not revealed the GPU incorporated in the phone but the smartphone uses a same 2GB RAM like its predecessor. The Ascend P6 S runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 on top. It houses 16GB of internal storage capacity (no word on the MicroSD as of now).
On the photography side, you will find an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing shooter which is better than an average phones these days.
Apart from the absence of the LTE support, the device will come with a regular connectivity options like the 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. Moreover, it's a dual-SIM phone with dual-standby mode.
The smartphone is in fact a bit thicker than its predecessor by 0.3mm and the similar 2,000mAh battery which powered the Ascend P6 powers it as well.
As the device comes with a dual SIM support, it is pretty obvious that it is most probably targeted to the emerging markets like China and India. But the company has not disclosed any information about the availability of the device outside china.
In China where it is already selling, the Ascend P6 S is currently available on Vmall (Huawei's own web store) and is available only on China Unicom. It is priced at 2,700 Yuan (approx. Rs. 27,478) in the native market.
In India, the company has been progressing in a rapid manner. Almost all of its devices have been coming to India and the company's popular Ascend Mate devices are also available in India along with the Ascend P6 smartphone. However, if the latest dual SIM Ascend P6 S is planned for other markets outside China, it will definitely come to India's fast moving smartphone market.
