Huawei Ascend P7: 5 Inch FHD Quad-Core Smartphone To Be Announced on May 7
Chinese firm Huawei, best known for affordable smartphones, is all set to launch its next flagship device in Paris on May 7. Over the past few weeks we have been hearing a lot about the announced Ascend P7.
While the device is yet to go official, in the meantime, Huawei has started sending press invites for an event in Paris on May 7.
The 4G-enabled Ascend P7 is said to sport a 5-inch Full HD display. It will be powered by a 1.6GHz quadcore HiSilicon processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
On the camera front, the device will feature a 13-mega pixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Additionally, the handset could incorporate a 2,460mAh battery. The device might run Android 4.4 Kitkat with Huawei's own native UI on top of it.

There is a strong buzz in the media that Huawei could unveil a revamped version of Emotion UI 2.0 at the same event. As usual, nothing much is known about the phone's pricing and exact retail availability.
In a recent interview given to Reuters, Eric Xu, Huawei's rotating and current chief executive, said the company will launch more handsets in the mid and high-end range.
"At the same time, we are going to build our (smartphone) product portfolio in the mid-range and high level,"
Coming to the Indian market, Huawei is still recognized as yet another Chinese player. To break that cliche, the company has expanded its mid-range Ascend smartphone series with the introduction of the Ascend Y600 into Indian market.
The Huawei Ascend Y600 has been listed on the company's official site; however, there is no update about the pricing and retail availability.
