While Xiaomi has certainly come a long way, another company Huawei seems to be fast forwarding its market share in India. Recently, Huawei Honor 6 witnessed stupendous success in India, and now they're once again ready to test the market, with the launch of Ascend P7.

Meanwhile, Oppo is also trying hard to catch up its arch rivals. The company is betting big on the success of the N1 Mini - a selfie centric smartphone.

Huawei Ascend P7 Vs Oppo N1 Mini: Design and Build

The Ascend P7 is a premium handset with the Gorilla Glass 3 covering its front and rear back, sandwiching a metal frame. At just 6.5mm thick, the device is one among the slimmest handset you can buy today.

Oppo N1 Mini, as the name suggests, is a miniature version of the N1 handset. The brushed metallic frame that wraps around the edges coupled with curved body fits nicely into the palm. Apparently, the device is slightly heavy at 151grams.

The Ascend P7 sports a 5-inch display with 1080p FHD resolution, which is already big enough that little hands will struggle to reach every part of with one hand. Both devices should be equally powerful, but we still think the Ascend P7 will outrank the N1 Mini, in respect of processing speed. Both handsets have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. Unfortunately, the N1 Mini doesn't support an SD card slot.

The Ascend P7 uses Huawei's Emotion UI 2.3 on the Ascend P7, which runs Google's Android 4.4 Kitkat. Huawei has removed the app drawer in favor of having all your apps on the homescreens.

Like the Oppo Find 7, the N1 Mini the N1 Mini runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The device has a custom built ROM, Color OS, which can be found on top of Android.

Besides physical appearance, the biggest difference between the Ascend P7 and N1 Mini is the positioning of rear cameras. The Ascend P7 comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera can be used to record 1080p videos. There's even a selfie mode to take a panoramic selfie.

The main highlight of the N1 Mini is its rotating camera. The 13MP swivel camera can be rotated by 206 degrees.

The camera features a Sony sensor with a 6-piece lens arrangement and an f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, the handset's camera Ultra HD mode is capable of capturing 24MP photographs. The built-in swivel camera doubles as a front-facing shooter.

Battery life on the Ascend P7 is unknown, but it uses a 2,500mAh battery inside. Meanwhile, the N1 Mini is stuffed with a smaller 2,140mAh battery.

Of course, choosing between the Oppo N1 Mini and Huawei Ascend P7 will largely depend heavily on the purpose and usage of a smartphone. If camera and unique design are important, the Oppo N1 Mini is meant for you needs. Huawei Ascend P7, on the other hand, appears to have better features, plus it is supported by LTE connectivity. Both handsets are priced around Rs. 24,000.
