The year is almost over and Huawei has had quite a fruitful year so far. A successful year behind the tech giant, Huawei is now looking to launch its new flagship smartphone in the first half of 2015.
If rumors are anything to go by, the Honor 6 Plus maker is upbeat about the next-generation handset under the Ascend series. It seems like Huawei has almost finalized its plans to unveil the Ascend P8, the legitimate successor to the Ascend P7.
Going by the leaked image of the device's metal chassis, it looks like the Ascend P8 isn't too far away from its launch. Although the purported image barely gives any details on the smartphone itself, it's an obvious indication of the imminent arrival of the Ascend P8 in the coming days to come.
If alleged rumors are to be believed, Huawei's upcoming monster flagship device will pack a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080-pixels resolution display, an octa-core Kirin 930 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of native storage, and a fingerprint sensor. Other notable specifications are unknown as the moment.
Given the level of competition, Huawei will certainly face the heat from arch rivals like Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi and Oppo, among others. However, it will be interesting to note how consumers will reach to the Ascend P8 when it officially hits the market in the first half of 2015.
