Huawei Ascend Sx: High End Flagship Smartphone Coming to Take On Samsung Galaxy S5
Even though Chinese tech vendor Huawei became world's third largest smartphone vendor last year; still the company was not so successful in selling its flagship handset, the Ascend P6 in large numbers.
There is a need to launch a high-end handset which can match up to the likes of upcoming iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5. Therefore, Huawei has started to make a new flagship phone under its "S" series.

Well, according to a new report, the Chinese vendor will be trying its hands on a premium phone. The purported phone will incorporate a high-resolution display having resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This clearly shows that Huawei's next-flagship handset may have a 2K resolution screen. Moreover, the tech vendor is also expected to use an Octa-Core processor, the one with 64-bit architecture, backed by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage.
Reportedly, the said phone will have a 16-MP rear-facing camera and a 3050mAh battery life. That was about internal hardware, but at the same rumor has it that Huawei's Ascend Sx could be priced at par with the iPhone 5S and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Apart from these details, nothing much about the phone has been revealed yet. Clearly, Huawei is eyeing a bigger market beyond its native market. Of late, Chinese tech vendors have started to offer premium handsets, a trend many analysts believe will pick further in the coming months.
Take for instance, Gionee, a typical Chinese player, which started its operations in India with slew of affordable handsets. But in the span of a year, the company now offers its most premium handset, the Elife E7, upwards of Rs. 30,000 in India. Same can be said about Lenovo, an established PC manufacturer, which has now started to roll out mid-to-high-end Android phones into Indian market. Recently, the company launched its Vibe X in India for approximately Rs. 25,000.
