Huawei Ascend W2 Full Specs Listed Online: 4.3 Inch, IPS Display, Dual- Core, 1GB RAM And WP8

Of lately, there hasn't been many models of Windows Phone 8 devices announced. Nokia has come with slew of handsets at Mobile World Congress (MWC) held at Barcelona earlier this year. Samsung has been mum, whether it makes any sense to go ahead with WP8 handsets.

The company's last flagship - Ativ S, a WP8 powered handset was bombed miserably. Another major tech vendor - Huawei, who announced Ascend W1, earlier this year at CES, is now eyes a high end version dubbed as W2. The Windows Phone 8 powered Huawei Ascend W2, is said to be the sequel to Ascend W1. The leaked info has been provided by Xda.developers forum.

The alleged device has been rumored for some time, now the actual image of the handset, has arrived on internet. The handset from the appearance, and internals, is said to be on high-end side. It packs a 4.3-inch display with resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels, 1.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-mega pixel rear camera with 1080p Full HD recording, and 2000mAh battery fitted inside. Interestingly, the handset was supposed to announce last year i.e. November 15, 2012.

Update - The Huawei Ascend W2 has been listed by Fast Card Tech( viaGSM Arena) , an online retailer. The alleged specifications which were assumed to pack 1.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, a 4.3 -inch IPS display , WP8, Wi-Fi, 3Gm Bluetooth , A-GPS and non -removable 2000mAh battery. The device has been tagged with a price of $289 (Rs. 15,785)

Looks like both handsets (Ascend W1 and Ascend W2) were ready last year, but it was the Ascend W1, who gets an upstart at CES 2013. The Huawei Ascend W2 will be priced Rs. 16,000 in the International market. No release date has been speculated as of now.

The Huawei Ascend W1 comes with a 4.0 -inch TFT LCD display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels , 1.2-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor, a 5-mega pixel rear camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash, VGA quality front facing camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory , WP8 , Wi-Fi, 3G, A-GPS, and 1,950mAh battery fitted inside. The handset is not available in India officially.
