Huawei Ascend Y540 with 3G, Dual Core CPU Launched

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei has silently launched a budget smartphone under its Ascend line-up. Codenamed as Ascend Y540, this is currently available in select European countries like Netherlands and Italy, and carries a price tag of 95 euros (INR 6,685).

Ascend Y540 - Key Specifications

Ascend Y540, sports a 4.5-inch WVGA display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, along with 1GB of RAM. On the storage, it supports 4GB of internal memory, which can be expandable up to unspecified capacity. Moving to the imaging front, it features 5MP rear camera, 0.3 (VGA) front camera.

This dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 out of the box, and supports connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0. It is powered by a 1730 mAh battery.As of now there is no official announcement about this budget mobile release and pricing on the global market.

Moreover, on the other hand, Huawei has teased about its launch in Mobile World Congress 2015 on social media . The teased image says, "Next is here", with 4G icon on top right. It suggests the upcoming smartphone/ tablet line-up will support 4G LTE connectivity.
