Huawei gives up on Windows Phone, Says it is Unprofitable
China based handset maker Huawei has announced that it is going to stop making Windows Phone based smartphones in the future. Reportedly the company has made this decision due to poor sales. This announcement from Huawei should be a blow for the Microsoft, which is on the Windows phone expansion spree. Microsoft is now trying to expand its Windows Phone market with price drops for the holiday deals.
Huawei spokesperson further stated that nobody has made money out of the Windows Phone, pointing out other brands partnered with Microsoft, which opted for the free-of-license Windows Phone recently. However, reportedly Microsoft will announce Windows 10 for all devices next year, while the desktop version is already available for download.
Huawei Ascend W1 Specifications
Huawei Ascend W1, which employs Windows Phone OS, sports 4-inch screen with a resolution of 480x 800 pixels which translates 233ppi. Ascend W1 is packed with 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon alongside 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage with expandable slot upto 32GB, 5MP front camera with LED flash, VGA front camera and runs on Microsoft Windows phone 8.

In the other news, Huawei is flaunting its dual camera by releasing its picture online in comparison to HTC One M8 and other flagship devices including iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S5. Huawei Honor 6 Plus, which employs dual camera is rumored to be launched on December 16. Also, Honor 6 Plus packs two 8MP cameras outsmarting One M8.

On the specification side, it will sport 5.5-inch 1080p screen, dual SIM slots, octa-core Kirin 925 chipset alongside 3GB of RAM. Reportedly, it will come with price tag around 3,300 chinese yuan (Rs. 33,300 approx).
