Huawei Honor 2: iPhone 5 Competitor Announced with 4.5 inch 326 PPI Retina display and 1.4GHz Quad Core Processor
Huawei, the Chinese tech vendor known for having all the potential to stand against Apple's high sales securing tech devices, has recently outed the spec details of its latest high-end Android smartphone – the Honor 2.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Honor 2 brings an in-house K3V2 1.4GHz quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. In addition, the Honor 2 sports a BSI 8-megapixel camera sensor that can deliver burst shots and full 1080p video capture. The key element, the handset features a 4.5-inch 1,280 x 720 Retina 326 PPI display along with a microSD slot for storage expansion. The China based OEM also confirmed that the smartphone will tout 72 hour standby time.
While the Honor 2 will be priced at 1,888 yen (around Rs 1,283) 1,888 yuan (approx. Rs 16,400), the handset will be up for pre-order in few days and will hit the Chinese market later this week. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet if this handset will reach the Indian boundaries anytime soon.
However, when the handset will reach the markets including US, UK and India, it will definitely create waves in the smartphone arena into the more challenging field of competitors than ever. Apple’s Retina Display technology was a knockout when it got debuted on the New iPad screen, which was released in early 2012 and included a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with more than 300 PPI. Since, then no tech consumer manufacturer has been able to meet the finesse of the screen display what Apple devices hold including the new iPhone 5.
Although, now Huawei Honor 2 seems to become the biggest rival to the Cupertino giant, at the same time Samsung and LG – the Korean sibling rivals are also prepping up their warriors aggressively to challenge the likes of Retina Display technology.
Let us know your opinion in the comments section below. What do you think? Will the new Huawei Honor 2 will be able to beat the iPhone 5 Retina Display Technology?
