On the other hand Lenovo made quite a splash earlier this year with its A6000 budget 4G smartphone, and now two months later, the company has debuted the follow-up device, the A7000. The new smartphone costs a little more than the original, but boasts of significant upgrades.

Lenovo A7000 vs Huawei Honor 4X: Specs Comparison

1.Design:

In terms of design, Lenovo A7000 is a little plain, maintaining the boxy look of its predecessor. Made entirely of plastic, it doesn't have much to boast of on the design front. However, it is very light at 140grams and you would be able to use it for extended periods of time without noticing the weight.

The Honor 4X's front looks a lot like the YU Yureka. It is dominated by a 5.5-inch screen. Huawei has chosen capacitive keys over the on-screen solution. The keys are not backlit, so locating them in the dark is quite a task. The handset is well put together, but in terms of aesthetics it comes nowhere near the Lenovo A7000.

2.Display:

Lenovo A7000 has a 5.5-inch HD screen, bigger than the 5-inch display of its predecessor. The screen quality is superb, with vibrant colours and excellent viewing angles. You cannot notice any pixilation on the smartphone's screen, though some portions may appear a little oversaturated due to the colour reproduction.

The Honor 4X sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS screen. This makes up for the pixel density of 276 ppi. That's quite low by today's standards, but don't worry -- the screen pixelation is not as bad as you think. The IPS panel's colour reproduction is great, but viewing angles could have been better.

3.Software:

The new A7000 smartphone runs on Lenovo's Vibe UI, which we have seen earlier as well. This time, the custom software is built on Android Lolllipop, so there are a few animations you will certainly notice. The performance is very smooth and we did not notice any jitters or lag while running it through our paces at the demo station.

The 4X runs Android 4.4 out-of-the-box. The software comes with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it. Much like the iOS, Emotion UI does not feature an app menu. This means that all your apps appear on the homescreens.

Lenovo A7000 comes with a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek chip making it a powerful smartphone for the price, right up there with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G. Media playback is another strength of the smartphone, which is the world's first model with Dolby Atmos technology.

Another key feature of Lenovo A7000 is its 2,900mAh battery, which should last at least a day even with 4G turned on.

The 3,000mAh battery of Huawei Honor 4X is one of its biggest strengths. It can last up to a day and half easily with moderate usage, but if you are a heavy user, you will get only one day of juice from this smartphone.
