Huawei today unveiled a new smartphone that could change the mid-end market for ever. The Honor 4X runs on a Snapdragon 410 chipset, which is one of the new chipsets to support 64-bit capability.

The Honor 4X is a more of a mid-tier smartphone than the company's flagship devices, but it's way capable than Huawei's current offerings. Sporting a large 5.5-inch 720p HD screen, the Honor 4X's display size could be compared to the LG G3 Stylus's 5.5-inches.

It's more powerful, too, housing a quad-core 1.4GHz processor Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery. The battery is capable of providing up to 72 hours of use, as per the company. Camera wise the Honor 4X comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. Also, add a 5MP front-facing shooter.

Internal storage is just 8GB out of the box, but you can toss in a microSD card for up to 64GB of space. The handset's dual-SIM capability lets you switch between different carriers. The device does support 4G LTE connectivity.

The Huawei Honor 4X is running on the latest Android 4.4. The phone will be made available in China at a price of $212 (or Rs. 12,932). As of now, Huawei has yet to launch the Honor 4X in India.

Earlier this month, Huawei launched four new products in India, which includes the Honor 6, Honor Holly, Honor X1 tablet and Honor T1 tablet.
