Fingerprint sensor's usage in the mobile devices have somewhat become a trend these days. If you remember the Huawei smartphone called by the codename Mulan, which has been leaked several times in the past, the handset is also apparently based on such hardware.
The smartphone which was last time rumored to come with Huawei's latest home-brewed Kirin 920 chipset has once again appeared online. Although, the device was leaked several times in the past, this is the first time the Mulan has been pictured in its full glory as several images appear online. These images come via China's equivalent of Twitter.
According to the images, the Huawei Mulan looks to be crafted with a metal frame and will have its very own fingerprint sensor, seen on the back below the camera. This is very much the ideal one that was used by HTC in its One Max phone.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Huawei Mulan is rumored to come with a Kirin 920 chipset, featuring a CPU with four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 2GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz in a big.LITTLE design.
It is a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen device which will also use a 3GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front snapper. However, the company has not mentioned any other details pertaining to the battery, storage and connectivity options so far. Moreover, even the fingerprint sensor's usage and functionality has not been detailed at the moment.
The Huawei Mulan is expected to make its official entry at an event in Beijing on June 24th.
