Mumbai based smartphone maker iBall has today launched its new feature phone targeted to the senior citizens. The handset comes dubbed as Aasaan2 and the company has priced the handset at a price or Rs. 2,990.
The feature phone is specifically prepared to meet the need of the senior citizens. Thus you will see features like big keypads, enhanced audio, bigger fonts on screen, enhanced audio levels and SOS function for help in case of emergencies. The same had been very well received and appreciated earlier.
The successor to the Aasaan also comes with a digital camera, music play back and flash card support up to 8GB. Keeping functionality as the key focus for senior people, a noteworthy feature of the device is its ‘SOS function', positioned at the back of the phone, which can be used, to automatically connect with an emergency phone number.
Within 7 seconds of pressing the ‘SOS button', the handset emanates loud sound/siren that lets people in vicinity know that something is wrong. It also sends out ‘SOS Text' messages pre-formulated to 5 numbers, sequentially calling them till a number is answered.
The Aasaan2 is a Dual SIM handset and comes with a dual language feature that supports both Hindi and English. The product has specific buttons for wire-free FM, LED torch and Phone lock for extreme ease of user for the seniors. It also has the talking keypad to let the user hear what is being typed.
