iBall Andi 4a Projector Phone Launched At Rs 17,999: Top 5 Rivals

A couple of days ago, GizBot reported about the iBall Andi A4 Projector phone being listed in the company's official website and now the handset has been launched at Rs. 17,990. The company website still lists the device at Rs. 18,999. The latest projector phone from iBall is currently available at Flipkart.

Here is a brief rundown on the specs and features of the newly launched iBall Andi A4 Projector:

iBall Andi A4 Projector comes with a 4 inch capacitive touch screen with IPS display which offers a WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels and 233 PPI pixel density.

The smartphone is powered by a powerful Dual Core 1GHz Cortex A9 Processor and is also supported by a 512MB RAM. The handset runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.

Talking about the camera, there is an 8MP Auto focus camera with LED flash on the rear side while on the front, one can find a VGA snapper for video calls. It also features Gravity, Light & Proximity Sensors.

iBall Andi A4 Projector houses 4GB internal storage capacity of which 2GB is user memory. Fortunately, there is a micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB.

Moving onto connectivity, the device comes with features like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS and aGPS. Obviously, the device also sports a dual SIM support with dual standby as seeen in most Indian smartphones. It is powered by a 1500 mAh battery.

The most important feature of the smartphone is the projector which will give a brightness of 35Lm. It comes with a Dual RGB Channel and has a contrast ratio of 1200:1. One can also find a manual focus option on the phones projector. Projection size rates at 32"/m and offers a VGA resolution of 640X480. The Indian iBall Andi A4 Projector phone is the world's first Smart Phone with projection quality of 35 Lumens.

Since, there are already a good number of handsets that come along with projection capability, GizBot has come up with a few handsets featuring similar technologies. These devices could also possibly be rivals to the newly launched iBall Andi A4 Projector phone. The device however, falls in the sub mid range price category.

It also has a 1200 mAh battery life of upto 7 hours and features 2.4-inch QVGA display, GPRS, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, a 3.2 MP Camera, internal memory of 87 MB but comes with a microSD card slot. The device is priced approximately at Rs. 6,699.

There is a 80MB internal memory which can be extended up to 4 GB using microSD card. The dual SIM handset with the projector also features Bluetooth, USB and GPRS. The device is priced at Rs. 4,695.

The device comes packed with Bluetooth, 850 mAh battery (1 extra battery free) with approx. 2.5 hrs Talk time / 200 hrs Standby time, play approximately 100 minutes of movie using projector, Dual SIM (GSM + GSM), Dual Standby. The handset is priced at Rs. 7,071 but it is out of stock in Infibeam.

The device also features a 5MP rear camera and 1200mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs. 6,300.
