Today, Indian smartphone and computer peripheral manufacturer iBall has released its yet another smartphone in the Indian market. The device comes dubbed as Andi 5K sparkle and is priced at Rs. 9,999. Bu the same device is also being sold from online retailer Snapdeal at a lower price of Rs. 8,946.
The device falls in the company's rich Andi series and was last time spotted at iBall's official website back in January. Back then, three more devices - Andi 3.5 Classique, Andi 3.5KKe Super and the Andi 3.5KKe Glory were listed.
Going by the specs, the mid-range Andi 5K Sparkle comes with a 5-inch qHD capacitive touch screen IPS display offering a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels and also churns out a pixel density of 220ppi.
It comes powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core cortex A7 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
The company has also integrated a generous 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash in the phone, with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also coming handy while taking selfies and making a video call.
Connectivity options include: 3G , Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. Apart from these, it is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with Dual Standby.
The smartphone comes with a minimum storage capacity of 4GB, but is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It measures 11mm thick and weighs 168 grams and uses a 1850 mAh battery to power the device.
When it comes to competition, since the smartphones which fall on and around Rs. 10,000 price range can be found in massive numbers, there will be a cut-throat competition. Among all, Micromax Canvas Doodle A111, Micromax Canvas 2 Plus A110Q, ZTE Blade L V887, Nokia Lumia 710 and Karbonn Titanium S2 should be its stern rivals.
