Indian telecom operator Idea Cellular has launched two new Android smartphones recently - Idea ID 920 and Aurus 3. Priced at Rs 4,950 and Rs 6,990 respectively, the smartphone have been announced with a free three month data and Idea TV usage.
The prepaid customers buying this phone will get 1.6 GB of 3G data every month for 3 months or unlimited data on 2G for 3 months depending upon their circle. In addition, the subscribers will also get Idea TV worth Rs 150 pack free for 3 months.
Postpaid subscribers, on the other hand, can either avail 1GB 3G data per month for 3 months or Unlimited 2G data per bill cycle for 3 months. They will also get Idea TV worth Rs 150 free for 3 months.
Idea ID 920 - Key Specs
Idea ID 920 features a 8.8-cm (3.5-inch) capacitive touch display and a 320 x 480 pixel resolution. Powered with a single core processor running at 1 GHz, the phone has a 256 MB of RAM and 100 MB of storage space.
An additional 2 GB storage is provided through a bundled memory card. The Idea ID 920 runs on the older version of Google Android Gingerbread operating system. It has a 2 Megapixel rear camera but the lack of front camera limits the users from making video calls using this device.
Idea Aurus 3 - Key Specs
On the other hand, Aurus 3 the successor of Aurus 2 has been introduced packed with 4-inch 800x480p resolution display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on board, 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of on-board memory, microSD card slot and 1400 mAh battery.
It is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) device, which will also come featuring 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and more.
Meanwhile, the 3G data offer for both the handsets is available on a one time rental or recharge of Rs 260 in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, HP, J&K, Kerala, Maharashtra, MP, UP west and east circles. While the unlimited 2G data offer is available on one time rental or recharge of Rs 199 in North East and Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka, Kolkata, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
