Idea Whiz: Dual SIM, Dual Core Handset Coming in May at Rs 7850

Idea Cellular, one of the popular telcos in India is also manufacturing a variety of smartphones based on Android OS. Recently, the company came up with a Jelly Bean handset - Aurus 2 and now, it seems like Idea is all set to launch another device.

According to a report by FoneArena, Whiz is a new smartphone listing on the company website. The smartphone is estimated to be priced at Rs 7,850 and to be launched soon.

Following this, GizBot contacted an inside source and has confirmed that Whiz will be launched in the second or third week of May, presumably in the same price range.

According to the listing, Idea Whiz will feature a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, Android 4.0 ICS operating system, 1GHz dual core processor, dual SIM support, 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, 0.3MP front camera for video calling, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS with aGPS and a 1,500 mAh battery.

Likewise the other Idea smartphones, Whiz will also come with 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for 3 months along with a recharge of Rs 261. As of now, there is no clear picture on when exactly the handset will be announced by Idea or on the specific price of it.
