Last year, InFocus decided to jump into the handset market in collaboration with Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. The Oregon-based company has hardly achieved any major milestone so far with respect of its mobile phone business.
In fact you haven't heard about this brand before, but today the firm has decided to give boost to its handset division with launch of a new high-end Android phone. The US-based electronics major has unveiled the M810 flagship smartphone in Taiwan.
InFocus is surely not a popular name in the handset business. However, the latest M810 could change the way we perceive about the brand and its devices. InFocus's new phone - M810 - is a premium looking handset aimed at sophisticated educated users residing in Taiwan.
Specs-wise, the high-end M810 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display having a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080-pixels. It features a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. There's a 13MP main camera, alongside a 5MP front-facing shooter.
Also, add support for LTE connectivity. The phone runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the box.
The device measures 6.99mm in terms of thickness and weighs-in at 156g. The makers have added a 2,600mAh battery fitted inside.
What's good about the InFocus M810 is that it is priced at $333 (Rs. 19, 800), which seems to be quite competitive. These days it is hard to find a power packed handset with latest hardware. There's no update on when InFocus will going to release the M810 in other Asian markets, including India. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
