Intex Aqua 5.0: Micromax A110 Canvas 2 Phablet Competitor Launched at Rs 9,999
With the launch of the original Galaxy Note by Samsung flaunting a massive 5.3 inch display in 2011, the demand for large screen smartphones among tech maniacs has gone high. Hence, to meet the need of the consumers, various local and global smartphone vendors are trying to explore the phablet category and introducing more and more killer devices to keep up in the competition.
When it comes to the global smartphone arena, Samsung has come up with Galaxy Note 2 and others including LG, HTC and others have also joined the big fight.

Display: Aqua 5.0 flaunts a 5 inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Processor: The handset has a dual core 1GHz processor under its hood.
OS: Likewise other budget phablets, the Intex offering also comes flavored with Android 4.0 ICS OS.
Camera: When it comes to camera, Aqua 5.0 is equipped with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and auto focus and has a 1.3MP front camera for video calling.
Memory: The handset has 4GB internal memory, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional memory.
Connectivity: On the connectivity front, Aqua 5.0 comes packed with features including Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS.
Battery: The handset is loaded with a 2,000 mAh battery of undisclosed backup.

Intex Aqua 5.0 is preloaded with useful applications such as NQ antivirus, Flipkart, India Rail, Nimbuzz, Skype and other popular apps.

Competition with Micromax A110 Canvas 2?
Micromax the leading tablet vendor in India, who is also aiming to become the second largest smartphone maker in the nation outed the second generation phablet – A110 Canvas 2 early this month.
Being a second generation phablet, the device has some enhancements as compared to its predecessor including dual core processor to fix sluggish performance and 8MP rear camera for quality images and videos.
Detailing on A110 Canvas 2, the phablet has a 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, 8MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera for video calling purposes, 4GB internal storage, 512MB, a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS with aGPS, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and 2,000 mAh Li-ion battery delivering 5 hours talk time and 174 hours standby.
Priced at Rs 9,999, Canvas 2 could be having a tough time as the new Intex offering is also priced the same and comes with a better front camera and improved battery.
