Intex Aqua Amaze: Mid-End Smartphone With Octa-Core CPU Launched For Rs 10,690

After launching the Aqua Style X smartphone last week, Intex today introduced its new 5-inch Aqua Amaze handset in the country. The new mid-end phone is priced at Rs. 10,690, and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) out-of-the box.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the new smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display (720p). It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, a microSD card slot and a 2,000mAh battery fitted inside. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and Bluetooth v4.0, among others.

In addition, the device's camera includes modes like Face Beauty that enable the user to capture images in high definition colours.

Available in two premium colors - Light blue & black, the handset will be up for grabs at all leading mobile retail outlets in India starting today.

As of late, the company has been trying to increase its market share in the world's third largest smartphone market, after China and the U.S. To boost its reach, the domestic vendor has launched a couple of low-to-mid range phones, running Google's Android mobile operating system (OS).
