After recently launching Aqua i7 couple of days ago, Intex has yet again released its new mid-range device called Aqua i4 at Rs. 9,490. In fact, the handset was first spotted on the official website of the company back in August. The company has not put the device on the site currently. Intex has a bulky plan for the coming month as the company says, "With festive season around the corner, we are planning to sell 3 lakh smartphones in the month of October, 2013."
Going by the specs Intex Aqua i4 comes with a 5 inch FWVGA capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with 1.2GHz dual core processor under the hood. Sadly, the company didn't mention the RAM incorporated in the device. However, it should feature 1GB at the given price point.
The phone has an expandable memory of 32GB allowing large collection of files, music, videos to be stored. There should at least be 4GM of internal storage which is not confirmed currently. In the connectivity section, apart from being a Dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) handset, it also supports 3G and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth connectivity and is powered by a 2000mAh battery that is claimed by the company to offer a talk time of upto 6 hours.
Moving on to the camera, one can find an 8MP Auto Focus rear Camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter for video calls. Apart from the specs, there are several pre-loaded apps in the phone like Intex play, Intex Zone, Hungama, Facebook and more.
However, the device is not seen anywhere selling as of now but when it does show up, it is sure to battle with devices like Nokia Lumia 520, Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562, Micromax Canvas 2 A110, XOLO Q800 and many more devices.
Moreover, since the handset comes with a dual core processor, Aqua i4 is surely going to face a problem with the available quad core devices from domestic manufacturers in India that come at the same price range.
