Intex Aqua i5 Mini: Another Moto E Rival With 8MP Camera Launched at Rs 6,850

Intex is keeping up with the trend that was kicked off with the formation of the low-range market segment. And like others in that race, the company has today officially launched the new Aqua i5 Mini smartphone at a competitive price of Rs 6,850.

Needless to say, with the new Intex release, the company will be looking to pit the device against an array of recently launched Sub-10K smartphones in the Indian smartphone market, which also includes both the popular Moto G and Moto E.

However, Intex today announced the launch of Aqua i5 Mini, a brand new offering from Intex Aqua series of smartphones. "Aqua i5 Mini enters the market at a time when there is an unprecedented enthusiasm amongst the users for low -cost and advanced UI smartphones," the official press release states.

Commenting on the launch; Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head- Mobiles, said "We at Intex always aim to offer products which cater to the aspirations of users across various platforms. Intex Aqua i5 Mini is one such product which is affordably priced without compromising on its quality, looks and performance giving buyers a delightful smartphone experience."

The new Aqua i5 Mini from Intex sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS Display, while being powered by the Google-based Android Jelly Bean operating system. The device also comes with a 1.3GHz quad core processor that gives it the required power to multitask without latency.

As far as in-device camera is concerned, the device sports an 8MP back camera coupled with an 2MP front camera, alongside a host of camera applications for a more delightful experience. Also, while the device is available with 1GB of RAM coupled with 4GB of internal storage, it can still be expanded up to another 32GB with microSD support.

Going by the Indian market standards, the Aqua i5 Mini, as expected, comes in a dual SIM avatar with a 1500 mAH battery present to keep things powered up. The device is also equipped with four sensors - Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, G sensor.

The Aqua i5 Mini is available in premium White color along with a free flip cover, and comes at an MOP of 6,850. However, it will face a stiff competition from the likes of Moto G, Moto E and a host of devices that are now arriving from Micromax.
