Intex Aqua i5HD Hands on and First Look: Certainly Not The Best Mid Range Smartphone, But Passable
- Vibrant Display
- Intex Cloud
- Dual SIM
- Poor Camera
- Poor Camera
- Dated Jelly Bean OS
With no flagship followup to the Intex Aqua Octa expected to release until next quarter, Intex has introduced a new smartphone for the mid-range market.
While the details of the Aqua i5HD wasn't made available until morning- the company wasted no time in making the device official in India. Intex officially launched the Aqua i5HD on Monday in a New Delhi-based event and touted the phone's design, which is comparatively more practical when compared to other handsets in its class.
Intex's new Aqua i5HD is practical, smooth and amazingly priced. At Rs. 9,990, it would make a decent buy for the young brigade of India. Intex, as a domestic brand, has always been active in the sub Rs.10,000 handset market. India is the fastest growing handset market in the world and the sub Rs.10,000 is the fastest growing. Thus, Intex has attached high hopes from the much awaited Aqua i5HD.
The Intex Aqua i5HD can be defined by one word: interesting.GizBot takes a hands on look at the new Aqua i5HD. It isn't the revolutionary phone in its class but still a decent device.
Intex Aqua i5HD- Design and Display
The Aqua i5HD is unmistakably an Intex phone. The device's rectangular design feels solid while holding in hands. The volume and power buttons are in their usual places. The Aqua i5HD most certainly looks and feels like an Intex product.
The handset's back is removable, so you can see the hidden SIM and microSD card slots and remove the battery. The Aqua i5HD's rear is made out of soft-touch polycarbonate plastic, which is quite comfortable to hold. The phone measures 8.5mm thick in terms of thickness.
The Aqua i5HD comes with a 5-inch LCD display with a 720p HD resolution. Intex has not used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the Aqua i5HD.
The phone's screen is sharp with well-saturated colors, and is certainly high- quality for this price range.
