In a cut-throat competition that is taking place in the low-end Android Smartphones market in India, Intex has added a new player - the Aqua T2 and it has broken the record of cheapest KitKat phone against Celkon's A35K. It is priced at couple of hundreds rupees less than the rival device at Rs. 2,699.
Available in two color options - Black and Grey, the phone can be purchased exclusively from popular e-commerce site Flipkart. Although the specs are not too impressive but sure yes, it does appeal a lot due to the price tag it comes with.
Intex Aqua T2: Key Specifications
The Intex Aqua T2 comes with a 3.5-inch IPS Display offering an HVGA resolution of 320x480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual-core MT6571 processor from MediaTek coupled with 256 MB of RAM. It runs on 4.4 KitKat OS.
In the imaging aspect, the latest smartphone uses a 2MP with flash and VGA front camera. The latest low-end smartphone from Intex houses a lesser ROM at 512 MB, The press note doesn't give information as to whether the device features a microSD card slot or not.
Anyways, in the connectivity front, you will get to see 2G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and it is a Dual SIM (WCDMA 2G + GSM) and it is powered by a 1200mAh (Li-ion) battery.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, "Our latest offering in the Aqua collection - The T2 is a technology front runner available at an amazing price point."
