Intex Cloud FX: Firefox OS Powered Smartphone To Launch in August Under Rs 2,000
The Indian handset market is mainly dominated by low-priced feature phones. While the affordable smartphone market is increasing at a rapid pace, users still find Rs. 5,000 priced handset an expensive option. Therefore, there is an urgent need to launch feature rich smartphones under Rs 2000 price bracket.
Earlier in the week, Firefox announced its partnership with industry's two heavy weight handset makers, namely, Intex and Spice, to launch low-cost phones under Rs. 2,000. While Spice has already revealed its plans to launch its first Firefox phone in July, and now Intex has also listed out some specifications of its first Firefox OS smartphone.

The handset could be similar to the reference $25 Firefox OS smartphone platform unveiled by Mozilla and Spreadtrum at this year's MWC tech show in February.
