iPhone 4, one of the most talked about handsets from the Apple finally hit the Indian market. Three major mobile operators – Aircel, Airtel and Vodafone had announced plans to bring this high tech phone to Indian consumers, but as of now only Airtel and Aircel have started offering the same.
This will be a first of its kind official launch, till now Indian consumers were getting factory unlocked iphones from countries like UK and then used to insert a micro SIM card to make it operate. It is a crude way of using one of the most beautiful technology creations in the world from Apple. The official release date of iphone4 will bring an end to this trend.
The Aircel will be charging Rs. 34,500/- for a 16GB model and Rs.40900 for a 32 GB model. Sounds too high? Well service providers know the mindset of Indian consumers and are providing options to reduce the upfront cost.
Aircel and Airtel are both bringing a monthly credit scheme by which they will recoup the cost of the phone by reducing from the monthly subscription rates over two year. This would make this phone much more affordable. Both companies are working with Apple to launch iPhone 4 in India by September of this year.
As per our iphone 4 reviews, it is powered by iOS4 and is provided with retina display ensuring more clarity in screen viewing; this is almost four times in pixel count over the previous iphone versions. Applications cover a whole gamut of utilities from entertainment to messaging, business communication and mobile computing.
Apart from a five megapixel camera, other explicit features include high definition video recorder, Face-time video calling and LED flash. Users can enjoy the power of multi-tasking as they can operate different applications simultaneously and also switch between them instantly. These features are in addition to all other standard applications and features like game store, iTunes, safari browser and so on.
With the 3G spectrum expected to roll out in more than 13 circles across India and also with Diwali round the corner, the Apple couldn"t have found a better release date for iPhone 4. Festive time ahead and mobile savvy Indian consumers have a big cracker in their hand to celebrate and enjoy.
