iPhone 5 Slated to Land in More Than 50 Countries in December Ahead of Holiday Season

On Monday, Apple has announced that it will launch iPhone 5 in 50 countries in December on account of the upcoming holiday season. On December 7, this Friday, iPhone 5 will land in South Korea and later the smartphone will be launched in 50 more countries including Brazil, Russia and Taiwan this month. Interestingly, iPhone 5, the sixth generation Apple smartphone will hit the retail shelves in China on December 14.

As of now, iPhone 5 is right now available in 47 countries among which the biggest markets across the globe including including the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the UK.

iPhone 5 to Land in 50 Countries

Talking about the specifications of the iPhone 5, it houses a 4 inch display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, a new Apple A6 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera with iSight technology and 1.2MP front camera.

Further, the iPhone 5 is powered by the iOS 6 platform with new features such as improved Siri voice assistant feature, deeper integration to Facebook, new PassBook and PhotoStream apps, Apple Maps, enhanced Safari browser and many more.

The smartphone comes packed with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, 4G LTE, 3G and micro USB 2.0 support. As per Apple, the battery in the smartphone offers 8 hours talk time and 225 hours standby.

When it comes to pricing and availability in India, iPhone 5 comes in two color options - black & slate or white & silver and is priced at Rs 45,500, Rs 52,500 and Rs 59,500 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants respectively.
