Today is the day when Apple's biggie – iPhone 5 will be unleashed in the Indian market to reach out its eagerly awaiting fans in India. The launch event venue of the next iPhone in India has been announced by the Cupertino based giant to be in Galleria, DLF Phase 2, Gurgaon; Inorbit Mall, Malad and Phoenix, Tulsi Pipe Road in Mumbai and UB City, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore.

Above is the picture which has been captured at the UB City, Vittal Mallya Road, evidencing the preparation is underway at the venue that will give the Bangalore Apple fanboys the first official look at the iPhone 5. The event will start at 1900 IST.

Prior to its release in the country, there were many indications including price cut of iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 and pre-order of iPhone 5 to confirm that the handset is expecting its Indian release soon.

Also, Redington one of the largest supply chain solution providers to several industries including Telecom, Consumer Electronics Products and more has confirmed that it will offer iPhone 5 at leading modern trade stores and retail outlets in India beginning Friday, November 2. Earlier, Redington listed that the iPhone 5 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants will be available in India starting from Rs 45,500, Rs 52,500 and Rs 59,500 respectively from today.

Talking about the specs, iPhone 5 houses a 4 inch display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels, a new Apple A6 chipset, 1GB RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera with iSight technology and 1.2MP front camera.

Powered by the iOS 6 platform with new features, iPhone 5 comes packed with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, 4G LTE, 3G and micro USB 2.0 support. As per Apple, the battery in the smartphone offers 8 hours talk time and 225 hours standby.
