iPhone 6: Apple To Come Up With A 6 Inch Display Phablet? [Report]

Don't be surprised to see when Apple announces an iPhone having a large 6-inch display. Right now, it won't happen but in the coming months Apple could announce a large sized iPhone, which is reportedly said to come as iPhone 6. Sources close to the Wall Street Journal shed light on the future of Apple and its money spinner next-generation iPhone.

As per the report, Apple is currently testing iPhones having 4.8-inch to 6.0-inches screen display. Few months back, it was also reported that Apple would consider a 4.8-inch iPhone in the near future.

Currently, Apple iPhone 5 comes with a 4-inch display, whereas the next versions coming on September 10, iPhone 5C and Iphone 5S are said to have same display size.

Further, the report also says that Apple is planning to change its smartphone strategy due to changing nature of competition.

"Component suppliers say Apple already began testing larger screens for iPhones in recent months. Apple has been particularly interested in recent tests for a 4.8-inch screen, these people say"

Samsung, Apple's arch rival and the world's largest manufacturer of smartphones have recently announced Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display.

Moreover, the South Korean giant is also selling a 6-inch mid-end Android powered phone under Mega series.

It is a known that for Apple, markets like India and China are very critical. Consequently, Apple is planning an event on September 11 in China, just a day after the official launch of supposed iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Reportedly, CEO Tim Cook has its eyes on Chinese market as local Chinese player Xiomi is giving tough competition to Apple in the mainland market. Same can be said about India, where Micromax and Karbonn rule Indian handset market. In the past 3 months, Apple hasn't made much impact with its iPhone 5 in India.

On September 10, Apple will launch its newest high-end iPhone 5S alongside the iPhone 5C. Industry insiders believe that iPhone 5C has a potential to change both Indian as well as Chinese handset market. The iPhone 5S would have a 4-inch display, A6X processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of ROM, an 8MP camera and a VGA quality front facing camera, 4G LTE, iOS 7, 3G, Wi-Fi and other features. The phone is said to have plastic chassis.

On the other hand, iPhone 5S would have same 4-inch IGZO display, A7X processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB of ROM, a 12-mega pixel rear facing camera and 2-MP front facing camera, 4G LTE-A, 3G, and Wi-Fi, amongst others.
