While the Indian Apple fanboys are in the iPhone 5 fever, a new Chinese handset dubbed as iPhone+ is making rounds in the market with 32GB on board storage. Interestingly, iPhone+ is priced at Rs 999 in the price conscious Indian handset market.
Further, the handset's back panel reads - “designed by apple in california Assembled in China,” similar to the Apple iPhone models. However, it is to be noted that the handset made in China has no relevance to the original iPhone.
According to a recent report by TheMobileIndian, the handset resembles the iPhone in its back casing and it is named liPhone. Moreover, this is not the only handset available in India to to fake over the iPhone or any high-end smartphone to that matter.
The report continues warning the consumers that these smartphone replicas are not genuine and they do not even posses an IMEI number, which is mandatory.
There are handsets resemble Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S2 in the grey markets across the country that even carry the logo of Samsung similar to the original handsets.
