When you hear the name JCB the first thing that comes to your mind will be large and heavy excavators, backhoes and dump trucks. But did you know that they also roll out mobile phones? JCB has already launched a special edition phone for Motorola Defy + in partnership with Motorola. They have also launched Tough phones in their own brand name.

The next JCB venture is going to be some more tuff phones that pack in some very amazing features. The latest news is that JCB will be sourcing couple of phones from a Chinese manufacturer. They would get a JCB specific overhaul and would hit the markets around the globe.

The latest phones are termed s JCB Tough phone Sitemaster 2 and JCB Tough phone Sitemaster 3G. One more phone is also introduced by JCB and it is termed as JCB Pro Smart. From which manufacturer the phone is sourced is not known as for now.

Sitemaster 2 and Sitemaster 3G comes in a candy bar form factor. The former is an IP67 certified phone that supports GSM networks and the latter is IP54 certified device. The phone is integrated with enough activities to help you with your day to day activities and has enough entertainment opportunities. Sitemaster 3G is the variant of the phone which adds in 3G connectivity to the original model.

Both these phones have a very rugged styling. They have almost the same size and shape. Rubberized grips are provided on all the sides and this will help the phone to take a couple of falls without any issues. There is an inbuilt torch light in both the phone models and also an integrated analog radio receiver. A 2 mega pixel camera is also present so that the users can take quick snaps. Sitemaster 2 comes in a yellow and black colour combo where as the 3G variant has a whole black finish.

JCB Toughphone Pro Smart is the most notable device in the lot. The device comes in dual tone black and yellow colour scheme and follows the same tough design. The phone is provided with a 3.2 inch touch screen display. It runs on android version 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system and has IP67 certification. The camera in the phone has 5 mega pixels resolution. The phones processor is clocked at 800 MHz.

There is no word on the price tags of these phones as for now.
