It seems like there is a plethora of new smartphones that are hitting the market in recent times. And the good news is that many of them are priced on a lower side.
After Celkon, now it's Karbonn's turn to launch an ultra low-cost smartphone into Indian market. The home grown vendor today launched the Karbonn A50s in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart.
The dual-SIM phone is now available online at a price point of Rs. 2,790. The handset comes with a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor ( MediaTek), coupled with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, which can be later expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The makers have added an 1100mAh battery fitted inside. It also supports micro SIM. On the camera front, there's a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED Flash, accompanied by a VGA quality front-facing shooter.
Connectivity options on the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, EDGE, GPRS and GPS. The device is now available in white color.
Karbonn A50s Rival: Celkon Campus A35K Now Launched
It's been a while since Celkon has not launched an entry-level smartphone in India. With the Campus A35K, Celkon is back in the game. Priced at Rs. 2,999, the Celkon Campus A35K is the cheapest Android Kitkat smartphone available in India. The device has a 3.5-inch display, 1Ghz processor, 512MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 1400mAh battery, dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, among other features.
