Karbonn A7 Star Launched Online at Rs 6190 to Challenge Micromax Canvas Viva A72

Right from the debut of this week, India based Karbonn seems to be proactive with a couple of launches including A25 and S2 Titanium. However, it looks like the vendor is not seeking rest as another handset has popped up online.

In a recent development - Karbonn A7 Star has been spotted on Snapdeal at Rs 6,190. The dual SIM smartphone with dual standby feature seems to have been launched via the online retailer and is an upgraded version of A7 and A7+ handsets launched in 2012.

It is evident that Karbonn is competing with Micromax in all standards and hence, it is coming up with attractive budget handsets. Priced at Rs 6,190, Karbonn A7 Star should be a stiff competitor of Micromax Canvas Viva A72.

Specwise, Canvas Viva A72 houses a 5 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz single core processor, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS, dual SIM support, 256MB RAM, 110MB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3 and a 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery offering 280 hours standby and 7 hours talk time.

Priced at Rs 6,499, Canvas Viva A72 comes with a larger display, but Karbonn A7 Star has improved dual core processor, enhanced camera and runs on Android ICS.
