Karbonn A8 Launches Online At Rs 6,189: Another Android Jelly Bean Handset Touting 4 Inch Display

To keep up the pace with growing domestic tech vendor Micromax, Karbonn has recently launched their latest midrange handset called the Karbonn A8 at the price of Rs. 6,189. The device is currently available on e-commerce site Saholic, whereas, the same handset is listed under coming soon tag on Flipkart.

Karbonn, which is rated to be the second best domestic mobile phone manufacturers, according to IDC report, has been in the a constant rivalry with Micromax and other mobile makers in the country. Let us have a look at the specs and features of the newly launched Karbonn A8 smartphone:

Karbonn A8 comes packed with the 4 inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display featuring the WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone also sports a G-sensor.

Further, it is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and 512MB RAM and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS. One can also find a 5MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a 0.3MP front facing shooter fitted in the Karbonn A8.

Obviously, the phone is equipped with a dual SIM support, and the connectivity options in the handset include, 2G/3G, Wi-Fi, USB, GPRS, EDGE, USB and Bluetooth. On the storage section, users can find 4GB internal storage which can be further enhanced up to 32GB using microSD card.

Eventually, the handset is powered by 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery. Moreover, the device also supports Google Play, Opera Mini browser, UC Browser, Gmail, Gtalk, Kingsoft Office, Google Search & Voice Search, WhatsApp, Flipboard and Karbonn Live.

Karbonn will thus have to face a tough competition from many devices. Out of all, devices like, Lava Iris 405, Karbonn Smart A10, XOLO A500S, Byond B63 and Micromax Canvas Fun A74 will surely stand against the newly launched Karbonn A8.
