While there has been much talk of high-end smartphones rolling one after another in India, another India-based player Karbonn is all set to revolutionize handset market with new offerings.
With the record number of smartphones being sold in India, homegrown players like Karbonn and many others did not want to be left behind. Therefore, we could see a flurry of new high-end phones that are expected to be launched by Karbonn on March 19 in New Delhi.
We've just received an invite from Karbonn to attend the launch of new smartphones on March 19 at a Delhi-based event.
Karbonn has hinted the date for its press event. You can mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 19, when the event will start at 11:30am.
Reading "You're invited to Foresee the future," the press invite carefully keeps Karbonn's cards close to its chest and doesn't reveal anything much.
After the success of Karbonn Titanium X, we haven't had the chance to see any new premium phones being pushed by the company.
Back in January, we had exclusively informed you that Karbonn will announce four new premium phones in the country. If fact, there are rumors floating that Karbonn is set to launch 3 to 4 phones on March 19 in Delhi.
However, based on our exclusive story, Karbonn has plans to release its first ever phone featuring a 2.5GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC by March-end . The device will have a 5-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot), 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED Flash, and will run on Android mobile OS.
For quite some time, Karbonn had been planning to launch two true Octa-core (MediaTek) powered smartphones in India. There are chances to see these handsets at the same press event, scheduled for March 19.
The rumor mills also reckon that the Karbonn is said to bring a smartphone powered by a Hexa-Core processor, just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo. At this point, however, there aren't many rumors to paint a true picture for it.
