Karbonn Smart A7 Star: Top Rivals for Android Smartphone Launched at Rs 6000

With the major international and domestic brands coming in, the Indian smartphone market has now become an arsenal of various smart devices. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS platform with a dual core processor clocked to 1GHz. Further, it houses 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, 0.3MP front camera, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 512MB RAM, 164MB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage and is powered by a 1,400 mAh battery. Sadly, one of the most important features that is missing in this device is the 3G support.

Karbon Smart A7 Star is sure to face some serious competition in the market as other smarphones such as Micromax Canvas Viva a72, Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502, Samsung Galaxy Grand, Byond Phablet PI and Zync Cloud Z5 Dual Core has a similar price and specifications.

The Micromax Canvas Viva A72 is a dual SIM phone, powered by Android Gingerbread OS comes at the price of Rs. 6,349. It has a 5 inch WVGA display with a Capacitive touchscreen. The handset houses a 1GHz processor, backed up by a 256MB RAM. With regard to the connectivity, it has EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, USB, and Bluetooth.

The 3MP camera on the back side of the handset allows users to take quality pics and record videos on the move and the 0.3MP front facing camera allows video chat and self portrait. It has 110 MB of internal storage capacity which is expandable upto 32GB via external microSD. It is powereed by 2000 mAh battery.

Like Karbonn A7 Star, this phone also lacks 3G support. Other features remaining the same there is a slight difference of Android version and the megapixels in the camera. It also has a lowest RAM of 256. Karbonn A7 Star may have the upperhand as it is less expensive and has better specs.

It has dual core processor which is clocked to 1GHz and is backed by 512MB RAM. Its 5 inch display has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Its connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB. The camera section comprises of 5 megapixels back camera with dual-LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera. It also includes preloaded FM radio, WhatsApp, GPS. 512MB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory.

This smartphone may compete with Karbonn and Micromax but it has a lesser configuration than Byond Phablet PI and Zync Cloud Z5 Dual Core as it just has 512 MB internal memory and lacks on 3G support whereas the other two smartphones have 4 GB internal storage capacity and also supports 3G.

It runs on dual core processor which is clocked to 1GHz.

Zync Cloud Z5 Dual Core starting from Rs.7,990 - Rs.8,999 with Dual-SIM and 5-inch TFT Capacitive Multi-Touch Display with the resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, Zync Cloud Z5 Dual Core runs on Android 4.0 OS with dual-core processor clocked to 1GHz and is backed up by 512MB DDR3 RAM.

The phone has 8MP Rear Camera and VGA front facing camera with 4GB Internal storage and expandable up to 32GB via external microSD. It supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, GPS and is powered by 2,500 mAh battery.

This is another strong contender with the best specification and pricing. The stunning 8MP camera with 3G support makes it more conspicuous and is likely to be the ace among the others.
