|

According to a recent report, Android 4.1 and 4.2 versions of Jelly Bean operating system are present in 10% of active hardware globally. With the rise in Jelly Bean market share, Android 2.3 Gingerbread has dipped by 50%. Moreover, the report claims that Android OS is used on three out of every four handsets that were shipped in 2012.

Eventually, the low cost tech manufacturers have started adopting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on to their budget smartphones and tablets. Recently, the Indian smartphone arena has attested several such launches from both global and native manufacturers.

Over the last week, the Indian smartphone market segment saw three such launches including Samsung Galaxy Grand, Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1.
