Domestic Smartphone maker Karbonn on Tuesday slashed the prices of its Titanium Octane and Octane Plus phones. This move comes after the launch of Xiaomi Mi 3, which offers better-than-expected features at an affordable price. Last week, the Motorola Moto G got dearer in India by Rs. 2,000.
With the latest price cut, the Karboon Octane can be purchased for Rs. 11,990, down from Rs. 14,490. Similarly, the Octane Plus smartphone is now available at Rs. 13,990, down from Rs. 16,990.
Originally these Android-powered handsets were first launched in the country back in March earlier this year. Both devices are now available at reduced prices exclusively through Snapdeal.
Karbonn Titanium Octane - Highlighted Specifications
The Karbonn Titanium Octane sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and a microSD card slot.
It offers a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. The makers have added a 2000mAh battery fitted inside.
Other connectivity options on the Titanium Octane include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat.

Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage and a microSD card slot. The makers have added a 2000mAh battery fitted inside.
Also, add a 16MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. The device is powered a 2000mAh battery fitted inside.
Other connectivity options on the Titanium Octane Plus include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone is running the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat out-of-the box.
Karbonn Titanium Octane is available in three sizzling colours - Red, White and Black while Octane Plus offers two colour options- Black and White.
