Lava Iris 406Q VS Top 10 Best Android Quad-Core, 3G, Dual SIM Smartphones Rivals To Consider
The smartphone market, in recent times, is filled with a host of different manufacturers, both domestic and foreign. And while the market has seen a steep rise in big name brands such as Apple and Samsung, it also caters to a number of Indian vendors such as Micromax and Karbonn.
And similarly, one such company is Lava currently trying to catch up with its Indian counterparts in the market with a hope to catch up with the others, let alone going past them.
However, gladly enough, things aren't as grim as some people tag the Indian vendors to be. In fact, Lava is walking the best route possible in this instance and has now officially released its new Iris 406Q handset.
Priced at a mere Rs. 6,999, the Lava Iris 406Q comes with a 4-inch (800 × 480 pixels) touch screen display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM, and it runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS, which is upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat) version.
In the camera segment, there is a 5MP Auto Focus Rear Camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing shooter can also be found. The internal storage capacity is seated at 4GB of which only 2.25GB is user accessible. But you will also find a microSD card slot in the device which will support up to 32GB additional storage unit.

Connectivity options, however, remain regular with 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps) , Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and GPS. Obviously it is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby handset. The device also comes powered by a 1700 mAh battery.
And while all those specs sound quite interesting for a device that's priced so cheap, it is also to be noted that this is not the only handset in the market offering these kinds of specs for that amount of money.
So which are the top 5 smartphone rivals that can actually contest against the device? Let's take a closer look.
