Lava Iris 450 Colour Launched at Rs 7,999 With Switchable Backs: Micromax Canvas 2 Colours Rival?
It was Nokia which brought the colorful smartphone trend in the tech world with its Windows Phone powered smartphone series. Following the global course, many global and local smartphone makers are trying to experiment with their very own colorful smartphone variants.
On the similar lines, domestic tech vendor Lava has also introduced a new range - the Iris 450 Colour smartphone with colorful changeable back covers. Reportedly, the low priced phone was earlier spotted on the company's website.
Priced at Rs. 7,999, the Lava Iris 450 Colour will be made available in White and Black colors. Furthermore, the company will offer optional colored back panels for the phone in Blue, Tan Brown, Raspberry Pink and Violet colour options.

Lava Iris 450 Colour: Highlighted Specifications
Besides being a stylish handset, the Iris 450 Colour comes with ordinary specifications. The handset features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, there's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with a single LED Flash, and a VGA quality front-facing shooter. The makers have added an 1800mAh battery fitted inside. Other connectivity options include: 3G, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, FM Radio, Bluetooth and aGPS. The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Lava Iris 450 Colour Rival: Micromax Canvas 2 Colours A120 coming soon
Well, it would not be an easy for Lava to win the battle, as Micromax's Canvas 2 Colours is now listed on the company's website. The biggest highlight of the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours are its optional color rear back covers.
Similar to the Lava Iris 450 Colour, the Canvas 2 Colours A120 will be made available in two standard colors: Black and White. Both handsets support Dual-SIM and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. However, the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours offers a large 5-inch HD (720p) resolution, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera , 3G, Wi-Fi, AGPS and more.
While the release date/price might not be confirmed, this is probably the right time to see two stylish handsets being made available in India.
