After Indian homegrown manufacturer, Micromax; now it seems that Lava is all geared up to take on against the South Korean giant Samsung. In a recent development, the company has introduced a new innovation in its smartphone basket, which understands human gesture just like the lately launched Galaxy S4. Dubbed as Lava Iris 504q, the flagship smartphone has been launched at a price of Rs 13,499 and will hit the stores in the fourth week of June 2013.

Lava Iris 504q: Quad Core Android Smartphone Launched at Rs 13,499

Well, Lava Iris 504q comes with the new gesture motion feature, which will allow users to interact with the phone with just a swipe of the hand in the air. The gesture control feature can be used for clicking photos, changing tracks on the music player and video player, tuning FM channels and browsing entertainment gallery on the smartphone.

Lava Iris 504q - Specification

The Lava Iris 504q has almost has all the required specification, which are present in a high-end Android smartphone these days. It boasts, 5 inch IPS HD screen with OGS display technology and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.2GHz processor and will come running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Further, Iris 504q sports an 8MP camera (rear auto-focus with in-built flash and BSI sensor) and a 2 MP front camera for 3G video calling. Also, 1GB RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB and 2,000-mAh battery. The company claims that the handset will provide 11 hours of audio calling on 3G, 15 hours 30 mins on 2G and 2 hours 40 mins video calling on 3G.

Lava Iris 504q - Other Goodies

Lava also claims that Iris 504q is the slimmest handset in its category with 8.4mm thickness, moreover, its weight is 140 grams. Not to forget, the phone has also got a flip cover accessory, which has been introduced by the company, however; reportedly, it would not be available inside the box.

Further, at the launch event held in Delhi, Lava also announced its partnership with Hungama to provide Music Application and ‘LavaZone' the storefront on Iris 504Q. According to the company's press release, with this user gets access to over 2 million pieces of content across genres and languages, in the form of music tracks, music videos , trailers and dialogues; mobile content such as ringtones and wallpapers.

Meanwhile, Iris504q comes with some preloaded apps such as Opera web browser, Hungama Music App and Moden Combat HD from gameloft, making it a smart choice for the smartphone buyers.
