Lava Iris 550Q Officially Released for Rs 13,000: Top 5 Smartphone competitors Posing a Threat

Indian smartphone makers like iBall, Micromax and others have been releasing number of affordable devices in the domestic market. Now the latest one to join the league comes from Lava and its called the Iris 550Q. The device is launched at the price of Rs. 13,000 and is yet to go on sale sometime later this month.

The Iris 550Q comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display based OGS technology offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM, and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

There is an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash with 1080p video recording and BSI sensor and also a 2MP front-facing shooter comes in handy.

Internal storage capacity is seated at 4GB and it is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and obviously there is a Dual SIM support available in the device.

It is powered by a 2600 mAh battery with up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G. The Lava Iris 550Q comes in Black color with a free flip cover.

The latest device from Lava will surely battle with the iBall's latest offering the Andi5T Cobalt2, which comes at the same price range. Both are also very much similar in terms of specs.
