Lava Iris N350: Another Budget Dual SIM Android Smartphone Enters Indian Market at Rs 4,399
In a recent development, Lava has announced today the launch of a new dual SIM Android smartphone into the Indian smartphone market segment – the Iris N350. The new smartphone will be available for retail purchase at a price tag of Rs 5,499. At the same time, major online retail stores such as Snapdeal is offering the same device for as low as Rs 4,399.
The Dual SIM functionality opens the door for users to enjoy two carriers within a single smartphone and will be the most helpful for customers worried about changing carrier plans. Standard graphical and computational performance is provided with the help of 1GHz processor incorporated in this device. Further, Lava Iris N350 features a standard 3.5 inch screen display size supporting an average resolution of 320 x 480 pixels ensuring decent multimedia experience for users.
The touch screen interface is further enhanced with the presence of the older version of Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system. Many fans would have expected the company to have provided Android ICS operating system since Android Gingerbread is now going out of trend. The new GSM phone will also feature a 2 mega pixels rear camera that can be used for occasional image capturing and video watching. Occasional video chatting can be done with the 0.3 mega pixels front-facing camera.
Moreover, Lava Iris N350 will boast a thickness of 11.9mm and can be easily carried along while on the move especially because of its light weight (115 grams). Smoother browsing experience and comparatively faster internet connection is made possible with the device supporting 2G EDGE/GPRS.
Other connectivity features in the handset include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Music from a range of radio stations can be enjoyed with the help of FM Radio with recording. However the internal memory of just 160 MB might seem to be a drawback of the device. But users can compensate it with the help of 32GB expandable MicroSD cards. Furthermore, the smartphone will be powered by 1,300 mAh battery capable of providing better talk time and standby time.
