Lava Iris X8 And Iris X1 Grand: Comparison Review
There are millions of reviews on smartphones available on the internet but you can hardly find a handfull on Lava mobiles. Lava is one of the fastest growing mobile handset companies in India. Recently it had launched the Iris X8. The company has launched many budget friendly smartphones for the Indian crowd and promises to get Android Lollipop update for its smartphones

Design
A lot could be said if we had a post dedicated just to the designing factor for both the handsets. However, Grand looks the same like its predecessor the Iris X1, it still has white and silver grey colour combination. X1 Grand's body is made out of plastic, the build quality and finishing is good. Rear Panel is white in color, with glossy finish and textures.
While the Iris X8 has the same features as the Iris X1 Grand. The only difference which could be spoted was the back panel of X8. The X8 came with a plane white colour panel.
Display
Lava Iris X1 Grand sports a 5-inch IPS LCD screen and the Iris X8 flaunts a 4.5-inch HD IPS display. The Iris X1 Grand has a resolution of 480x854 pixels, supporting 218 ppi pixel density where as the X8 has a higher resolution of 720x1280 pixels and supports 294 ppi pixel density. Both devices have capacitive touch.
Software
Lava Iris X8 is based on Android Kitkat 4.4 and promises to get an Android Lollipop update via FOTA. On the other hand we can see that the Iris X1 Grand is based on Android Kitkat 4.4.2, it also promise to get updated to Android Lollipop 5.0.
Internal
The Lava Iris X8 sports a 1.4 Ghz octa core, Cortex A7 processor and a 600MHz Mali-450MP4 GPU hence stating a brilliant and steady video and image processing.
On the other hand the Iris X1 Grand is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz processor and has a Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU unit.
Hence, Iris X8 is slightly faster than the Iris X1 Grand.
Camera
Lava Iris X1 Grand has an 8MP BSI II Auoto Focus Rear camera with Dual LED Flash and flaunts a 2MP Front Camera. The Iris X8 also has an 8MP BSI III Auoto Focus Rear camera with dual flash tone. It sports a 3MP front snapper with Full HD video recording and playback.
Battery
The Lava Iris X8 houses a 2500mAh Li-Po battery where as the Iris X1 Grand is powered by a 2200mHz Li-Po battery.
Users can buy the Iris X8 for Rs. 9,000, while the Iris X1 Grand is only for Rs. 7,349. Both are budget friendly smartphones and are available in retail stores and e-commerce websites.
Both these phones have more-or-less similar spec sheet. However, the Iris X8 seemed to have an edge over the X1 Grand, thanks to the battery and storage. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
