While there are several other smartphone makers releasing low-end smartphones in the Indian market, Lava has also listed two of its latest and most affordable devices on its official site. These two smartphones come dubbed as the Iris 349i and Iris 404e.
The company has not revealed pricing and availability details, however, both smartphones are currently available to buy via third party online retailers. The Iris 349i is listed at Rs. 2,899 and the Iris 404e could be bought at Rs. 4,499.
Lava Iris 349i: Key Specifications
The Lava Iris 349i comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) display and is powered by a single-core 1GHz (unspecified chipset) processor with 256MB of RAM. It runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. The Iris 349i packs a 2-megapixel rear camera (without flash) and there is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
Connectivity options on the Lava Iris 349i include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, and FM radio, but the smartphone has no 3G or EDGE support and it supports dual SIM. The handset measures 115x61.5x13.5mm, and is listed on Saholic. It is powered by a 1400mAh battery.
Lava Iris 404e: Key Specification
The Lava Iris 404e sports a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 256MB of RAM. It come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The Iris 404e packs a similar 2-megapixel rear camera but with LED flash, while it also features a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The 2GB of inbuilt storage (1.2GB user available) on the handset can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It is powered by a 1400mAh Li-ion battery. Connectivity options on the Lava Iris 404e include 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPRS/ EDGE, and dual SIM slot. The handset measures 125x64x9.9mm, weighs 113 grams, and is listed on Flipkart.
