Indian smartphone maker Lava Mobiles has been rumored since long for the launch of a smartphone based on Intel Clover Trail+ processor. Carrying the credit of being the first company to make Intel based smartphones, the manufacturer has launched its second Intel smartphone as well.

According to the Facebook page of Xolo, the Intel Lexington based handset dubbed as Xolo X500 comes with a 1.2GHz processor, Full HD 1080 x 720 pixel display, dual SIM support and more.

With a price tag of Rs 8,999, Xolo X500 will definitely bring about a new twist in the budget smartphone market, which is haunted by similar smartphones. It is to be noted that the Intel's Clover Trail+ processor codenamed Lexington is designed especially for the low cost smartphones.

At the CES 2013, Intel Corporation unveiled the Clover Trail+ processor to accelerate mobile experience. The low power Atom processor based platform adds strength to the fast growing smartphone market segment by offering impressive performance for quick web browsing and great multimedia experience.
