Flipkart and Lenovo today announced that they received 2,55,000 registrations on the first sale date of their much anticipated mass market A6000 4G enabled phone. The Lenovo A6000 sale began today at 2 PM.
A joint note issued said-‘ There has been a huge demand of the A6000 and there has been an unbelievable response for the first sale.10, 000 units were on sale and got sold out in 2 seconds. Next registration starts at 6 p.m. today and Flipkart and Lenovo are working towards approving higher number to the consumers who were not able to buy unit today afternoon. The sale will now be every Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Anyhow, neither Lenovo nor Flipkart revealed the number of unit that went on sale. The Chinese company released Lenovo A6000 in hopes to compete in the budget segment with other rivals like, Yureka Yu and Xiaomi Redmi Note, which supports 4G connectivity.

Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display, and comes powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8916 1.2GHz Quad Core Operating System along with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) on top of VIBE UI 2.0.
Coming in Black variant, the device comes with 8GB of internal storage and expandable storage of up to 32GB. The device also features an 8MP auto-focus rear camera w/ LED flash, 2MP fixed-focus front camera, and powered by a 2,300mAh (Li-polymer, replaceable) battery which is claimed by the company to offer a talk time of up to 22 hours (2G), 13 hours (3G), 4G voice not supported and a standby time up to 11 days (2G/3G)/ 11.5 days.
Further, Lenovo A6000 comes with a Dual, Micro SIM slot and boasts dimensions of 141 x 70 x 8.2mm at a weight of 128grams. You'll also find a 2x speakers, Dolby Digital Plus, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, FDD Band 1, 3, 7, 20, DL 150Mbps / UL 50Mbps Bluetooth and BT 4.0 camera in the handset. Basically, the Indian version will come with 2.3 GHz frequency (band 40).
