It looks like most of the smartphone makers from around the world are trying to use the cheaper but quite effective Qualcomm SoC- Snapdragon 410 in their affordable smartphones this year. Apart from Samsung, now it looks like Lenovo has also used the same SoC in its one of the two smartphones which came to our notice today.
What is special about the SoC is the fact that it is the first 64-Bit processor for Android smartphones. And it not much expensive as well. Samsung and Huawei are already coming up with their set of smartphones powered by the same chipset.
This came into public highlight when the company showcased its two devices at the Tianyi Mobile Phone Trade Exhibition held in China. The one which comes powered by Snapdragon 410 is dubbed as A805e and will be released in China around mid-July, and the other one which comes powered by Snapdragon 400 is S860e.
Lenovo A805e: Key Specifications
To talk about the specs individually, the Lenovo A805e sports a 5.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. Other specs include: 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, front-facing camera, 8GB internal memory, expandable with micro SD, 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, NFC and a 2500 mAh battery.
Lenovo S860e: Key Specifications
Lenovo S860e comes with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8926) processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. Other specs are pretty similar to the aforementioned model. Thus, you will get to see 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.6MP front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, expandable with micro SD, 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and 2500 mAh battery. This one comes with a leather-like back cover.
Lenovo has not announced the pricing or the availability of these devices at the moment and its not clear whether the company will release these new products outside native market or not.
